Three Famous Actors and MCs Arrested: A Shocking Turn of Events
According to Thai media, actress Min Pechaya, MC Kan Kantathavorn and Sam Yuranunt Pamornmontri were arrested for their involvement in a serious fraud case.
Bangkok Post reported on October 16 that Thai police have arrested a total of 18 people in connection with the iCon Group fraud. According to Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), in addition to founder and CEO Warathaphon, three celebrities were also arrested: actress Min Pechaya, MC Kan Kantathavorn and Sam Yuranunt Pamornmontri. They were arrested on charges of defrauding public funds and providing false information.

Kan Kantathavorn, a famous TV host and actor associated with iCon Group, was taken to the CIB at 7:30 p.m. on October 16. Earlier, Min Pechaya and Sam Yuranunt Pamornmontri were also arrested and taken to the police station as “suspects.” The police also questioned the suspects that night, refusing to grant bail.
Before being arrested, the famous stars all spoke up to confirm that they were just hosts, not partners and had no important role in iCon Group. Min Pechaya even burst into tears to apologize to fans at a previously held press conference.

According to Nation Thailand , more than 1,000 people have filed fraud complaints against iCon Group, a health food and supplement company founded in 2018. The company lured many people by offering cheap online sales courses with the participation of many famous faces to increase credibility. But after signing up, participants were asked to pay more money to buy products with the lure of being able to resell them quickly. When they failed to sell the products, the company asked participants to recruit more agents to work under them and collect a portion of the fees.
According to Khaosod , as of October 16, there were 1,063 complaints with a total loss of 400 million baht. This huge loss has prompted the Royal Thai Police Kittirat Phanphet to order a full investigation.
