According to the Daily Mail , Drake is said to have paid $350,000 to Laquana Morris – the woman who accused the rapper of sexual assault during his Boy Meets World tour in 2017.
The Blast reported that Morris not only revealed the amount of money Drake spent to silence her, but also recounted the hidden details of the incident in a filing with a New York court on June 19.
“Drake tried to arrange this while he was still free following an investigation by Manchester Police. But that didn’t stop Morris from telling her story about what happened between her and the singer in a hotel room after a concert in February 2017,” the source said.
Laquana Morris (right) sued Drake for sexually assaulting her in 2017. In the lawsuit, the former stripper and social media star wrote: “Drake forced me to perform oral sex on him. It was disgusting.”
The Daily Mail has contacted the Passionfruit singer for feedback, but the male singer’s representative has not yet given an official answer.
In June 2017, Laquana Morris filed a complaint with the police in England and hired a lawyer to sue Drake. However, the foggy country authorities refused to pursue this case.
In August 2018, the 32-year-old singer filed a counter-suit against Morris for blackmailing him by claiming she was pregnant and had been raped. By November of that year, the two sides had reached a settlement.
However, sources revealed that the agreement did not satisfy Morris, so she asked a lawyer to work with Drake’s side. Meanwhile, the Canadian rapper’s representative responded: “She violated the terms of the agreement that she could not repeat these allegations.”
Drake is a talented but also controversial star. Aubrey Drake Graham, better known by his stage name Drake, is a Canadian rapper, music producer and actor of Arab descent. When he first entered showbiz, he received public attention for his role as Jimmy Brooks on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Drake then branched out into the rapper scene, signing with Lil Wayne’s label in June 2009. His debut album, So Far Gone, reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
