Taylor Swift is wrapping up her Eras Tour with gratitude for her Swifties.
During the second night of her Vancouver tour stop at BC Place Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 7, the 14-time Grammy winner showed love to her fans for making her concert series what it has become.
“This is the most fun, joyful, exciting, intense, powerful and wonderful tour I have ever done, and that’s all because of the way that you have treated it,” Swift said at one point in the show, according to fan footage shared on X (formerly Twitter).
“There’s a reason why this is my longest tour I’ve ever done. I’ve never played this many shows on a tour before, and it’s just cause I really never wanted it to end, because you guys have made it into such a wonderful experience for all of us on stage,” she continued.
“You’ve got all your traditions that you’ve created. Like, I wrote one line in a song that mentions ‘make the friendship bracelets,’ and I show up to the first show of the Eras Tour, and you guys made friendship bracelets, your trading friendship bracelets, you’re making friends, and now, I feel like, friendship bracelets, you’ve kinda made that idea synonymous with the Eras Tour. That’s a pretty wild thing you can do — and that’s just one of the things,” added Swift.
Swift embarked on her record-breaking Eras Tour in March 2023 in Arizona with a three-hour setlist packed with songs from her entire discography.
Since then, she has performed in dozens of cities across five continents — and keeps the show fresh.
Swift has also performed secret songs at every show on the guitar and piano as a way to include tracks that weren’t featured on her already massive setlist.
Her final weekend of the Eras Tour comes days after Swift has topped several streaming lists. Spotify Wrapped, Apple Music and Amazon Music all named her the top artist of 2024 with The Tortured Poets Department as the top album.
Swift takes the stage for the final time on her Eras Tour on Sunday, Dec. 8 in Vancouver.
