Prince Andrew has reportedly been leaning on his ex-wife and two daughters Princess Beatrice and Eugenie as he continues to fight over his eviction from the Royal Lodge
Prince Andrew has reportedly been acting like a “lost puppy these days” has he leans on his ex-wife and daughters Princess Beatrice and Eugenie for emotional support.
As Prince Andrew, 64, is currently entangled in a feud with King Charles III over his eviction from the Royal Lodge. The disgraced Duke of York is set to leave the residence, located on the Windsor Castle property, after his brother reportedly refused to help him financially. And as Prince Andrew continues his fight to stay, he has allegedly been a burden to his family throughout the process.
This week an insider at The Palace told In Touch: “Andrew is like a lost puppy these days, constantly leaning on Sarah and their daughters for emotional support. He’s become increasingly clingy, reaching out to them every chance he gets, almost as if they’re his only lifeline.”
They continued: “While Sarah and the girls are sympathetic to a point, they also have their own lives to manage.” The source went on to add: “For Sarah, especially, being associated with him is complicated. His reputation as the family’s black sheep makes her connection to him a sensitive issue, and it’s starting to reflect poorly on her as well. She bears the brunt of it.”
According to the insider, Prince Andrew unloads “every frustration” onto his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and “constantly asks for advice.” These requests allegedly not only pertain to family matters, but also for help with “people who could assist him with his business pursuits.” The source added that his two daughters “are in the same boat.”
Speaking on Sarah’s reaction to Prince Andrew’s cries for help, the source explained: “Sarah has her own challenges, she’s dealing with ongoing health issues and an already packed schedule. Yet Andrew doesn’t seem aware of the toll his constant needs are taking on her, he’s too wrapped up in himself to think of anyone else.”
As for Prince Andrew’s two daughters, the insider spilled: “They love their father, but his continuous need for support is draining, and they’re starting to feel overwhelmed by his constant needs for support. They love him, but they do wish he would step up and handle his own issues with a bit more independence,” and concluded: “Ultimately, they want to see him take responsibility and move forward without relying so heavily on them.”
