Josh Allen’s Ex Claims She Was Hacked After Posting ‘Brain Dead’ Athlete Comment
Josh Allen’s ex-girlfriend Brittany Williams claimed that her Instagram account was hacked after some shady remarks appeared on her page.
“My accounts have been hacked several times tonight,” Williams, 28, alleged on her Instagram Story on Friday, November 29, per multiple outlets. “Trying to get it resolved. If anyone has any tips please Imk 🙏🏻🥹.”
Williams’ response comes after her account referred to Allen, 28, as a “brain dead CTE athlete” following news of his engagement to Hailee Steinfeld. According to screenshots shared via social media, Williams allegedly replied to a fan asking “Haven’t found the next pro athlete yet?”
The response at issue read, “Luckily my boyfriend owns a team and doesn’t play for one. 🙏🏻 don’t have to be with another brain dead CTE athlete.” (CTE, also known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy, is a brain disorder likely caused by repeated head injuries.)
The post has since been deleted.
Allen and Williams were childhood friends before they began a romance in 2017. The twosome called it quits in 2023. That same year, the Buffalo Bills quarterback started dating Steinfeld. Williams, for her part, has not shared any details about her new relationship.
While Allen and Steinfeld, 27, have kept their romance out of the spotlight since it began, they gave fans an inside glimpse of their next steps. On Friday, Steinfeld and Allen revealed that they had gotten engaged earlier in November.
“♾️11•22•24 ♾️,” the couple captioned a photo from their romantic, oceanfront proposal scene.
As Allen went down on one knee, the actress bent down to embrace him, and the duo stood in front of a floral arch that had candles scattered around it. The proposal took place during Allen’s bye week.
As he returned to the field on Sunday, December 1, to face off against the San Francisco 49ers, Allen shared a few extra details about the couple’s news. Allen told reporters that Steinfeld was “very” surprised by the romantic gesture and noted that they are “still figuring out” wedding plans.
Steinfeld, for her part, gushed about spending Thanksgiving with her loved ones in her “Beau Society” newsletter.
“OK, time to return to my family time and post-Thanksgiving food coma (stuffing gets me every year),” she penned. “But let me know if you snag a hoodie, I’m so excited for you and to see more Beau out in the world!”
Many of Steinfeld and Allen’s friends have sent the couple congratulations on their engagement, including Travis Kelce, Elizabeth Banks, Bailee Madison and more.
