Jennie’s New Song Faces Ban: What You Need to Know
KBS has deemed Jennie’s song unsuitable for broadcast. Therefore, “Mantra” cannot appear on any of the station’s programs.
On October 23, IZE reported that Jennie’s “Mantra” was banned from airing on KBS. KBS said that “Mantra” was deemed unfit for airing because the lyrics violated Article 46 (restrictions on advertising effectiveness) of the Broadcasting Review Regulations. Specifically, the lyrics mentioned a specific brand.
Singers can edit the song to get it aired on KBS. Only after it is judged eligible will it be aired on KBS programs including television and radio. This means that without editing, Jennie’s Mantra will not be able to appear on any KBS programs.

Mantra was released by Jennie on October 11. This is Jennie’s first solo song in about a year since the single You & Me released in October last year. In the past few days, Jennie has performed the song on several music shows such as Mcountdown and MBC’s Music Core.
According to TVChosun , on October 22, Jennie’s Mantra officially entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 98. On domestic charts, Mantra still holds a high ranking.
