Hurricane Milton Poses a Serious Threat to the Messi Family!
Hurricane Milton hits Florida, Miami (USA), causing many fans to worry about the safety of Lionel Messi’s family.
US media reported that Messi’s family is staying at Bay Colony, a neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The villa, worth more than $11 million, is at risk of being severely affected by high winds and flooding when Hurricane Milton makes landfall.
Currently, Messi is busy with the Argentina national team, participating in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. This is the reason why many fans feel worried about the remaining family members such as his wife Antonella or his three children Thiago, Ciro and Mateo.
Hurricane Milton began impacting Florida on October 9, bringing heavy rain and winds that could cause catastrophic damage to the state’s west coast. Authorities issued mandatory evacuation orders for 11 Florida counties with a population of about 5.9 million people, warning that anyone who stayed would have to fend for themselves.
US President Joe Biden said this could be one of the worst storms to hit Florida in 100 years.
In another development, Hurricane Milton also affected the Argentina team’s trip to Venezuela. Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni said: “Regardless of the weather, we had a good training session in Miami. Of course, the upcoming match is important, but everyone’s safety is more important. Strong winds, tornadoes, the sight of closed airports, those things make us worried. At the moment, nothing is certain.”
Argentina is leading the 2026 World Cup qualifying round in South America with 6 wins after 8 matches, with 18 points. Coach Scaloni’s team is 2 points ahead of second-placed Colombia.
