Hollywood in Shock Over Liam Payne’s Tragic Passing
Paris Hilton, Charlie Puth and a host of stars sent their condolences to Liam Payne’s family after hearing the news of the former One Direction member’s death.
CNN reported that Liam Payne, a former member of One Direction, died on October 16 (local time) after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Argentina. Local police confirmed the tragic incident.
The news of Liam Payne’s death has shocked Hollywood. Paris Hilton wrote on X: “So saddened to hear of Liam’s sudden passing. Sending love and condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace my friend.”
On his Instagram Story, Charlie Puth shared a photo with Payne and said he was extremely shocked. To him, Payne was a kind person and one of the first major artists he worked with.
“I can’t believe he’s gone. I’m so sad right now. May he rest in peace,” the We Don’t Talk Anymore singer wrote.

Wesley Stromberg, a member of the boy band Emblem3, echoed the sentiments of others. Stromberg acknowledged that Payne was genuine and that his talent was on the rise. Juicy J, a rapper who witnessed Payne’s musical growth, was also shocked by the news of his colleague’s death.
Earlier, several witnesses told TMZ that they saw Liam Payne fall after he behaved erratically around 5 p.m. on October 16. The source said the singer had smashed his laptop before the tragic incident. Currently, the police are actively investigating to clarify whether Payne’s fall was an accident or not.
“Payne’s body was found lying on the hotel deck, surrounded by chairs and tables. The photo does not show the What Makes You Beautiful singer’s full body , but tattoos on his arms and hips can be seen,” TMZ revealed.
Liam Payne was born in 1993 and rose to fame alongside fellow One Direction members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson in 2010. He has kept in touch with them since the group disbanded in 2015. Most recently, they attended a concert together in Buenos Aires.
While alive, Payne shared a 7-year-old son, Bear Grey, with ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole, whom he dated from 2016 to 2018.
