Andrew Garfield is back on the singles team. The actor was in a relationship with Kate Tomas — who describes herself as a “philosopher, artist and ritualist” on her Instagram profile —, but the relationship has come to an end, as she herself revealed on the social network.
Although the news only became public last weekend, Tomas explained that she and Garfield have not been together “for months” when responding to a comment left on one of her most recent posts.

“We broke up months ago, but I’m sure he’ll be happy to know he’s loved,” Tomas wrote in response to a comment that is no longer available.
The celebrity’s ex-partner took the opportunity to interact with other users, this time in a not-so-friendly tone.

“Will you ever stop talking about Andrew? He never has and never will, so why don’t you?” one user asked. “Honey, the only people who always put a man at the center of my life, work, business and social media are women like you,” Tomas replied.
In July, Tomas made a brief statement about her relationship with a famous man in an interview with The Times. She took the opportunity to complain about the attacks she was suffering on the internet. “It’s frustrating, no matter how successful or impactful a woman is [in her career], she will always be more interesting if she is in a relationship with a man. I don’t want to be in anyone’s shadow,” she said.

July, in fact, also marked the last time Garfield and Tomas were seen together. They were photographed at a match at the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament.
Rumors suggest the relationship began around March. The then-couple were spotted on several occasions — including on a stroll alongside singer Phoebe Bridgers and comedian Bo Burnham, who were also the center of romance rumors.
