Musician Dave Grohl has announced some significant personal news regarding his family. The Foo Fighters frontman revealed on Instagram that he has welcomed a new daughter, born “outside” of his marriage to his wife, Jordyn Blum.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl wrote. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”
He continued, expressing his commitment to his family: “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.” Grohl also asked for consideration for all the children involved as they navigate this new chapter.
A representative for Grohl declined to comment further beyond his Instagram statement.
Grohl has been married to Blum, a director, since 2003, and they have three daughters together: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
In his post, Grohl did not provide any details about the mother of his new baby girl. Throughout their marriage, Grohl and Blum have maintained a mostly private life, occasionally appearing together on red carpets.
The couple was recently spotted together at Wimbledon in London during the European leg of Foo Fighters’ tour in July.
