Hollywood icon Bruce Willis turned 69 on Tuesday and was showered with love by his family, including his ex-wife Demi Moore and current wife of 15 years, Emma Heming Willis.

61-year-old Demi, who shares three daughters with the action hero, took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute to Bruce in honor of his birthday.

“Happy birthday, BW! We love you and are so grateful for you,” she captioned a set of three photos, the first of which showed Demi with her ex-husband, the second of which showed the actor with his granddaughter, and the last of which was a throwback showing the Die Hard star with the former couple’s three daughters, Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 30.

Bruce also shares two daughters, Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9, with wife Emma.

Rumer, the eldest of Bruce’s children, posted a series of pictures honoring her father for being the “greatest papa I could ever hope for” on his 69th birthday.

“Oh Daddio, to be loved by you is such a gift. You are the funniest, most tender, charming, out of this world silly talented and magical papa. Looking through these photos this morning I am just filled with the deepest gratitude that we chose to spend this life together,” she wrote.

“I am your first baby and man sometimes I wish I could be tiny enough to just cozy up on your chest again and laugh and cuddle you. I love you so deep in my bones I don’t know how my muscles hold them. You are the greatest papa I could ever hope for. Thank you for your generosity, your silliness and heart. Lou loves you so big. Happy Birthday Daddio,” Rumer concluded.

Another heartfelt tribute to Bruce came from Emma, who will be celebrating her 15th wedding anniversary with him on March 21.

Bruce was captured holding a baby in the photo that Emma shared for the Moonlighting star’s birthday.

“Just like you, we simply adore him. What you might not know, but maybe you could imagine, that being wrapped in his arms is the safest place in this whole wide world. He’s a true gentle-man,” Emma wrote on Instagram. “With so much love to give and share. That’s what I get to see, his true core. I can tell you, it’s so pure and ever so good. Happy Birthday my love. You are the gift that keeps giving.”

Family members and loved ones rallied together in support of Bruce after they announced last year that the actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, also known as FTD.

While the diagnosis was “painful,” the family said it was “a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

“Today there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead. As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research,” the family said in February last year.
