Bill Belichick’s Ex Responds to Speculation About Her ‘Kill Bill’ Costume
Linda Holliday seemingly addressed the theory that she was throwing shade at her ex Bill Belichick for her Kill Bill–inspired Halloween costume.
“Can everyone please stop being offended by absolutely EVERYTHING?” Holliday, 61, wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, October 30. “Ya’ll [sic] would have never survived in the Eddie Murphy, Andrew Dice Clay, etc, etc days … shoot you wouldn’t survive the late night talk shows like Jay Leno or David Letterman.”
She continued: “For the love of God, laugh a little. Lighten up. Everything isn’t an attack…”
In an additional post, Holliday shared an inspirational quote that read, “A sense of humor helps us get through dull times, cope with the difficult times, enjoy the good times and manage the scary times.”
While Holliday didn’t fully explain the inspiration for her post, she was seemingly referring to the chatter about her recent costume. Over the weekend, the TV correspondent was spotted dressed up like Uma Thurman’s iconic character from Kill Bill.
Holliday’s costume went viral after it was discussed on the Tuesday, October 29, episode of DraftKings’ “GoJo and Golic” podcast. Cohost Jessie Coffield explained that Holliday spent the weekend with her friends and shared a photo of the group, while Mike Golic Sr. pointed out how the costume seemed like a dig at Belichick.
“It’s not subtle,” Golic Sr. said. “This is not a subtle costume at all, right? Pretty detailed.”
Mike Golic Jr. chimed in to quip that Holliday’s look was as “subtle as a sledgehammer.” Golic Jr. also added that while he’s not sure which of Holliday’s friends posted the group snap, he had a feeling that the women were “thrilled” over Holliday’s costume, especially given Belichick’s current love life.
“I cannot imagine what those women’s group chats has looked like over the last number of months culminating in this costume,” the internet personality said.
Belichick, 72, and Holliday dated throughout most of his tenure with the New England Patriots. They were first linked in 2007, one year after Belichick’s divorce from ex-wife Debby Clarke. Multiple outlets reported in September 2023 that Belichick and Holliday called it quits after 16 years of dating. The twosome did not address their breakup at the time.
The same year that the former NFL coach and Holliday split, Belichick was linked to his current girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The couple, who have a 48-year age gap, made their relationship official in September when Hudson, 24, gave her boyfriend a warm welcome to social media.
“This is my formal petition for @BillBelichick to change his handle to @ BillyGoat !! 🐐 Welcome to the ‘Gram, Billy!!!!” she wrote at the time.
