Angelina Jolie’s son Knox Jolie-Pitt joined his mother at the Governors Awards.
Knox, 16, stood proud next to his mother at the 2024 Governors Awards on Sunday, Nov. 17. Angelina wrapped her hand around Knox’s arm while wearing a long gold-and-silver haltered sleeveless gown, which she paired with a thick necklace and earrings. The 16-year-old wore a tuxedo, replacing a tie with a bowtie and showcased his short buzzed hair. The two were seen all smiles.
This comes amid her legal battle with Brad. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that the case over their winery will head to trial, despite Angelina’s push to have the case dropped. The judge agreed that there was an informal, but implied contract in regards to the shares of the holding company, recognizing Brad’s two claims of interference.
The film academy’s board of governors hosted an event on Sunday to celebrate the late Quincy Jones, James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, filmmaker Richard Curtis, and casting director Juliet Taylor. Quincy died at the age of 91 and his cause of death has been revealed to be pancreatic cancer.
Angelina has been promoting her new film, Maria, which released in August 2024 on Netflix. The actress received an eight minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival in August for her role. Pablo Larraín’s biographical drama is about the Greek opera singer Maria Callas.
Angelina is halfway to EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) status after winning her first Tony over the summer for the adaption of Broadway’s The Outsiders, which won Best Musical. The actress’ daughter Vivienne was also credited for the musical, making her a winner as well. Angelina needs to win an Emmy and Grammy in order to have won all four major awards, which has only been earned by 21 people. She has won three Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Tony Award.
This is not the first time Angelina makes a red carpet appearance with one of her kids. The mother of six was photographed with Pax at the premiere of her new film Without Blood at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Angelina and Vivienne also made a stunning appearance on the red carpet at the 2024 Tony Awards.
