Dave Portnoy Reveals Ex-Wife Still Has ‘Full Access’ to His $150M Fortune Despite Years-Old Split
Dave Portnoy’s ex-wife, Renee Portnoy, has “full access” to his $150 million fortune despite the two being separated for seven years.
“We met when Barstool was nothing, so she rode the grind up with us,” the Barstool Sports founder shared on “The Sage Steel Show” last month.
“She still currently has access to all my money. If she just wanted to be like, ‘I’m taking it and be gone,’ she could,” Portnoy, who was married to Renee for eight years, added.
“[Renee] was with me every step of the way, so in my mind, she’s entitled to enjoy the fruits of it,” Dave, 47, added.
The media personality claimed Renee wouldn’t “abuse” her access to his multi-million dollar fortune because she’s “far more frugal” than he is.
“I trust her implicitly,” he said.
Dave shared that his and Renee’s marriage ended amicably in 2017, saying she’s still his “best friend” and you can’t replace “someone who has seen everything you’ve been through.”
The exes, who wed in 2009, have yet to file for divorce because of their financial situation.
Dave explained he and Renee were denied a divorce in Massachusetts because they continued to share a bank account and the latter refused to take half of his fortune.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Dave’s estimated net worth is around $150 million.
Per documents obtained by Daily Mail, the duo requested they share access to their joint bank account, which Dave “entirely and exclusively funded” … “for the payment of all expenses of [Renee] without limitation.”
The podcaster also requested that he pay for his estranged wife’s medical insurance, but a judge denied the request, referring to it as “unacceptable.”
After calling it quits from Renee, Dave went on to date model Silvana Mojica from 2020 to 2023.
Dave revealed he and the influencer decided to go their separate ways after learning they wanted different things in life.
“I just didn’t think I could give Silvana kind of what she deserves,” he shared on his “BFFs” podcast on Nov. 30.
At the time, Dave referred to Mojica as his “best friend,” explaining he was “very concerned [with] what happens to her.”
