Ellen DeGeneres shut down rumors that her UK home flooded after she fled the United States following Donald Trump’s win in the 2024 presidential election.
The former talk show host addressed the speculation about her farmhouse in the Cotswolds, England, on Instagram Sunday while celebrating her and wife Portia de Rossi’s dating anniversary.
“20 years ago today we began this relationship not realizing what a long beautiful adventure this would be,” the comedian captioned a photo of herself and de Rossi standing in the middle of what appeared to be their countryside estate.
“You are the best thing that ever happened in my life. … So happy we get to travel and explore the world together in the next 20 years, and looking forward to our first snowy Christmas.”
DeGeneres, 66, concluded her heartfelt message, “P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood.”
On Saturday, the Daily Mail reported that the couple’s 43-acre property had been consumed by rising waters following the torrential rain in the area.
DeGeneres and de Rossi, 51, reportedly moved out of the US last month after Trump won the election over Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.
The TV mogul allegedly wanted to “get the hell out” of the country, with sources telling TMZ that the couple felt “very disillusioned” by the outcome.
The pair — who wed in 2008 — previously resided in Montecito, Calif., where they had been victims of catastrophic flooding in the past.
In 2018, the former “Ellen” host’s property was damaged by mudslides and flash flooding in the aftermath of a wildfire.
According to the Wrap, DeGeneres and de Rossi are now gearing up to put their California home on the market after moving across the pond.
Per the outlet, they will “never” return to the US.
The duo, however, reportedly purchased their sprawling England property before the election.
DeGeneres joined Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez and other A-list celebrities in supporting Harris ahead of the Nov. 5 election.
“There’s nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president,” DeGeneres wrote on Instagram in August.
