Christina Haack Poses in a Bikini and Sips Champagne Celebrating ‘Scorpio Season’
Christina Haack (formerly Hall) is reminiscing about the fun she’s had in the last few weeks.
The Christina on the Coast star, 41, shared a series of photos on Instagram on Sunday, Nov. 24, including one of her sipping on a glass of champagne as she lounges poolside in a black bikini. In another shot, the HGTV host dons a gold swimsuit while she poses with friends. A third shows her smiling on the beach as her hair blows in the wind.
The snaps appear to be from a recent birthday trip for her “great friend,” luxury car salesman Jared Merrell. The group jetted off to Punta Mita, Mexico.
“Scorpio season was good to me,” she captioned the post, referring to the period in astrology that runs from Oct. 22 to Nov. 21. Haack herself is not a Scorpio. Her birthday is July 9, making her a Cancer.
Haack’s carefree month comes amid her ongoing divorce from her estranged third husband Josh Hall.
Earlier in November, she opened up about the split and shed some light on what she says was an unpleasant filming experience with Josh for her upcoming HGTV series The Flip Off — which also stars her first husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa — during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,” Christina said of filming with Josh. “I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?”
“It was not fun, to be honest,” she continued. “I did not enjoy filming with him, so having split up made this, to be honest, so much easier and so much better in every way.”
Christina also told the outlet she felt that Josh was uncomfortable over the “flirty” dynamic between her and Tarek, 43, while filming. The exes, who split after seven years of marriage in 2016, continued to film several seasons of their hit series Flip or Flop together after their divorce. The show documented their evolving dynamic as business partners and co-parents.
Christina shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9, with Tarek; and son Hudson, 5, with her second husband, Ant Anstead.
“[Josh] doesn’t like our dynamic, because Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some could call it ‘flirty,’” she told ET. “For me, it’s like a sibling type of thing.”
While HGTV has yet to confirm Josh’s official exit from the show, Christina alluded to his departure when she said it “would have been hard to film” if he continued on the show. She has also been seen on set numerous times without her estranged husband after news of their divorce became public in July.
Christina and Josh started dating in March 2021 and secretly tied the knot less than a year later in October 2021. They held an intimate wedding ceremony in Hawaii in September 2022.
Josh officially filed for divorce from Christina on July 15 after nearly three years of marriage. The formerly Austin-based real estate professional cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split and also requested spousal support from the designer. Christina later responded with her own legal filing that requested neither be allowed to ask for spousal support.
Her Tennessee farmhouse, which she used to film her HGTV spin-off show Christina in the Country, has also been a point of contention in their divorce proceedings as Josh has been living there post-split, a source previously told PEOPLE.
The mom of three is the sole owner of the property and listed it for sale for $4.5 million in October, but later removed it from the market less than one month later.
