Diddy and Jennifer Lopez Engage in Heated Argument at Scandalous Party
Diddy reportedly had a tense relationship with Jennifer Lopez at the 2000 VMAs afterparty.
Daily Mail recently published a series of photos of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jennifer Lopez attending a nightclub party in New York (USA) co-organized by Eminem and Dr. Dre, which took place right after JLo won the Best Dance Video award with the MV Waiting for Tonight at the VMAs in 2000.
The photo shows JLo standing on a raised platform, looking annoyed, glaring at her boyfriend as the rapper poured champagne. An eyewitness said the pair got into a heated argument. “JLo’s sister, Lynda, tried to calm the situation by inviting them to dance, but the heated exchange continued, only ending when Diddy abruptly left with JLo and her entourage,” the source said.

The photos were posted while Diddy was being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) on a series of sex trafficking and assault charges, including a lawsuit in which the plaintiff claimed the rapper raped her right after the 2000 VMAs – the night the rapper had an argument with JLo.
Diddy, then 30, is accused of carrying the young girl (then 13) toward another celebrity (let’s call her A). “The victim was held down and raped by Celebrity A while Combs and Celebrity B, a woman, stood by and watched. After Celebrity A, Combs raped the victim while Celebrity B and the other two stood by and watched,” the lawsuit reads.
Through his legal team, Diddy has denied the allegations. The rapper’s legal team has called the recent series of civil lawsuits “a publicity stunt designed to promote the plaintiff’s attorney.”
According to NBC News , a federal grand jury in New York will hear new evidence related to the Diddy investigation this week. Attorney Ariel Mitchell said a male client of hers will testify before a grand jury in the Southern District of New York on October 31 (US time).
Meanwhile, Reuters quoted federal judge Mary Kay Vyskocil in Manhattan, saying that the plaintiffs must disclose their identities in the lawsuit and cannot use the alternative name Jane Doe, otherwise the lawsuit will be dismissed.
