Yikes! get a load of this! Laura Govan recently claimed that she “beat the f**k” out of her former ‘Basketball Wives Los Angeles’ cast member Draya Michele after learning that her former man Gilbert Arenas allegedly had an affair with Michele and sent her $25,000. In response to the claims, Michele is now going off on a rant to defend herself.

On Tuesday (October 29), Laura Govan appeared in a new interview with Carlos King on his podcast, ‘Reality with the King.’ During the sit-down, Govan talks about her time on ‘Basketball Wives Los Angeles,’ her thoughts about its creator Shaunie O’Neal, castmate Evelyn Lozada, and an altercation she claims she had with Draya Michele.

While discussing the latter, Carlos King asked Laura Govan to clear things up about a rumor about Draya Michele was having an affair and sleeping with her ex Gilbert Arenas. King and Govan were referencing a March 2024 conversation Arenas had with Nick Young, where the latter alleged that he was once driving a car while Arenas was receiving oral sex from Michele.

In her interview with Carlos King, Laura Govan said the alleged incident happened during a break in her relationship with Gilbert Arenas, but he eventually admitted it. Govan said Draya Michele was invited on to ‘Basketball Wives Los Angeles’ as a friend of her sister Gloria Govan and she didn’t know she was allegedly having an affair with Gilbert Arenas. She recalled, “I liked her. I was like, ‘Oh, sh*t. I like this chick. She’s hella cool, she’s funny. But, I had no idea she was there being Gilbert’s jump-off. I had no idea.”

Laura Govan said she then learned about them allegedly having an affair when she was going through papers at their house and learned Gilbert Arenas allegedly gave Draya Michele $25,000 and brought her to Los Angeles. Govan said she “rightfully so” went to where Michele was filming that day and “beat the f**k” out of her. Govan said she was not scheduled to film, but she still showed up to confront Michele, which never made it to air.

Govan recalled, “I beat the f**k out of Draya. I think I picked her up by her collarbone and threw her. And then I spit on her and I was trying to get to her ever after that. Am I proud of those things? Absolutely not. But, what you’re not going to do is be my friend. Don’t be in my face. And from what I heard, you was f***ing him at the time. So, I’m like what am I supposed to do with this? I was her friend. I liked her and you do me like this? I’mma do you like that.”

Draya Michele caught Laura Govan’s comments and went off in her Instagram Story. Michele initially wrote, “I don’t bother nobody. Why does nobody bother me? (Read again).” She then went off, claiming she doesn’t usually clear things up, but she has had enough of being “cyberbullied” and “podcast-bullied” for nearly a year straight.

Michele said, “First, I’m not the type of person to clear sh*t up, but enough is enough. I’ve been cyberbullied and podcast-bullied for almost 12 months straight by both men and women. And have stayed quiet. I don’t care about likes, comments, or going viral. But if I’m going to trend, I’m going to trend today and all f***ing day. I didn’t mess with anyone’s husband. Let’s be clear that no one was married. Let’s also be clear that the interactions I had with him were years before I was on the show. I did not know her then. And l also did not know her when I agreed to be on the show or her sister. I didn’t even know either of them were going to be on the show. So, to say the word ‘friend’ is a huge stretch. l agreed to go on the show and pretend to be friends with a girl named Gloria, who I did not know was sisters with her. And at the time, even if they would have said her sister, I still wouldn’t of known because I didn’t know her.”

She added, “I don’t come to social media and bash people. I didn’t always have the conscience that I have today. With that being said, I will keep most of what I’m saying polite. To be honest. During my time on the show, it was the highest ratings that it had ever received. Many of y’all won’t admit it, but I’ve brought comedic relief, a breath of fresh air, and most importantly, relatability to the normal girl who watched the show. All of my dirty laundry was aired on the show. And when I say all, I mean all. I have been called some of the worst things on national TV. I’m almost at the end. But, I will say my storyline carried the show. Carried. Carried. Carried. Had there been something involving me, trust and believe it would have been put out there (aired) for further enjoyment of people that watch trash TV.”

She continued, “Again, I don’t get on this Internet and hash anybody. I certainly don’t blame the woman in any situation where I am owed some sort of respect from my man. I don’t get on this Internet and tell my side of the story often because I respect the fact that it’s not only my side. I give a lot of people grace by being quiet and not sharing. Timelines aren’t timelining. And I’m sorry to people that can’t understand that. I hope you read this in a tone that is of a strong woman once again coming to the Internet, defending herself. And not a victim. I’m never a victim. l am a victor. Now, if you will excuse me. I will get back to my very normal, non-reality-TV-related, multifaceted life. Thank you. Go vote. For Kamala [Harris].”
