Leave it up to Busta Rhymes to drop a good word amid all the online chaos. In a recent interview with Extra, the rap veteran urged everyone to hold off on making judgments about Diddy’s legal matters until everything is handled appropriately in court.
Busta was asked to weigh in on this topic during the premiere of “Venom: The Last Dance.” He began by emphasizing that Diddy’s legal troubles do not reflect the hip-hop community as a whole. Rather than indulging in the online rumors, he wants folks to be very mindful of what they say about the business mogul’s situation.
“This isn’t a hip-hop issue,” Busta said. “And I also would like for everyone to be mindful of the thirst and the urgency and the need to speak on the situation. I think a lot of times, people don’t realize how insensitive it could be to have opinions on things that you have no understanding of outside of what you’re being told.” He also stated, “The one thing that we should take away from what I’m saying is everybody probably need to mind they damn business until the truth is undisputed. At that point, justice needs to be served accordingly for everyone involved.”
He added, “I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, and that goes for both the victims and for Diddy. So, I’m going to leave it there and mind my business, and hopefully everyone else can find it in their hearts to keep their opinions to themselves.”

As previously reported, Diddy is currently in federal custody awaiting trial on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. His arrest in New York came amid a series of civil suits alleging sexual assault, drugging, kidnapping, and physical violence, some of which date back to the 1990s, early 2000s, and present day.
He has been denied bail twice, and his trial is set for May 2025. Diddy has repeatedly maintained his innocence.
