Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of sexually assaulting a man who said the alleged attack only stopped because of the intervention of a professional athlete.
In a civil complaint against the rapper, filed Oct. 20, the man—who filed under the anonymous alias John Doe—alleged the incident occurred in 2022 during a party in Los Angeles.
The petitioner, described in the lawsuit as the “owner of a family business specializing in renting luxury cars and jewelry,” said he was invited to the event by Combs, who had been a frequent client of his company. Upon his arrival, the plaintiff saw many “high-profile guests,” but was “instructed” by Combs to meet him at his office for a private talk.
“Plaintiff assumed Combs wanted to have a discussion about business,” the suit reads. “However, Plaintiff immediately realized Combs was intoxicated and acting strangely.”
Combs then “removed his pants and exposed his genitals to Plaintiff,” according to the filing, before grabbing the plaintiff’s own genitals and “squeezing them in a rough and sexual manner.”
“Plaintiff, shocked and disoriented,” the complaint reads, “did not know how to respond to the weirdly inappropriate sexual advance made by Combs.”
According to the lawsuit, the situation “escalated” until an unnamed professional athlete “entered the office and, intervened which ended the Combs’ assault.”
The plaintiff says he suffered “significant emotional distress and trauma” as a result of the alleged incident. He is suing Combs for compensatory and punitive damages.
“Combs is a menace to society, women and children,” the lawsuit read, before referencing the 54-year-old upcoming federal trial for alleged sex trafficking, racketeering and using transportation to engage in prostitution. “While his wealth has kept him above consequence for years, Combs now faces the awesome power of the American judicial system and ultimately a jury of his peers.”
Combs—who has pleaded not guilty to his federal charges—is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. While behind bars, he is also facing multiple civil lawsuits containing allegations of rape and sexual assault.
In response to the accusations, including ones from John Doe, Combs’ attorney referred E! News to their Oct. 1 statement, which read, “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman.”
