Moon Geun Young was diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome in 2017 and had to undergo four surgeries. Acute compartment syndrome causes severe pain and paralysis. If not treated promptly, it can lead to muscle and nerve necrosis.
Moon Geun Young was born in 1987. She became famous after taking on the lead role in My Little Bride in 2004. This was the second highest-grossing Korean film of the year, after the blockbuster Taegukgi . According to Korea JoongAng Daily , after the success of My Little Bride, the press and public gave Moon Geun Young the title “Nation’s Little Sister”.
