Liam Payne suffered multiple injuries and internal and external bleeding after falling from a hotel balcony, according to a preliminary autopsy report.

Liam Payne then reportedly returned to his room and the tragic incident occurred on the afternoon of October 16 (local time). Alberto Crescenti – director of Buenos Aires emergency medical services – said Payne fell from a height of about 14 meters onto the hotel’s courtyard. The male singer was found to have many serious injuries, including a fractured skull.
According to CNN , the preliminary autopsy report showed that the male singer died of multiple injuries and hemorrhage.
The Telegraph quoted Argentine officials as saying that Payne may have been alone in the room with alcohol and drugs before the fall. There is no evidence of third-party involvement at the time of the incident.
“The autopsy revealed multiple injuries related to internal and external bleeding, consistent with a fall from a height. The victim may have fallen in a semi-conscious or completely unconscious state,” the Argentine prosecutor’s office said.
Prosecutors interviewed five witnesses to reconstruct Payne’s final hours, and also looked into the possibility of third-party involvement in the events leading up to Payne’s death.
