Actress Nicole Kidman and her family attended the funeral of her mother, Janelle, in Sydney on October 14.
The 57-year-old actress held hands with her husband, singer Keith Urban, as they arrived at St Francis Xavier Church in Lavender Bay to say goodbye to their mother. Nicole Kidman wore sunglasses and had a sad face. Her 56-year-old husband was always by her side to support her.
The couple’s two daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, were also present at the funeral. Sunday was seen standing next to her cousins, wiping away tears. Nicole’s two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, Bella and Connor Cruise, were not present, according to Dailymail .
Actress and television presenter Antonia Kidman’s sister and her husband and children gathered at the funeral with relatives and friends.
Janelle died at the age of 84 last month, just hours before Nicole Kidman was awarded the Best Actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival. Nicole immediately flew home and director Halina Reijin accepted the award on her behalf .
Nicole and her sister later wrote an emotional tribute to their mother on Instagram. The sisters also thanked fans for their condolences over the past time. “Every message from those who loved and admired our mother means more than words can express. My sister and I and our family thank you during this difficult time,” they wrote.
Nicole Kidman and Antonia Kidman are the daughters of Janelle, a former nursing teacher, and Antony Kidman, a biochemist and clinical psychologist. Their father died suddenly of a heart attack in Singapore in 2014 at the age of 74.
