Following two failed bail attempts, Diddy’s legal team persisted in filing appeals to secure his release from prison.
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team has filed a third appeal, asking for their client to be released on bail before the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals hears the case, Page Six reports.
The appeal challenges the decision of the Southern District of New York District Court to twice deny the rap mogul bail on charges of obstruction of justice and witness tampering.
“Combs’ team is asking for his immediate release with appropriate bail conditions, citing insufficient evidence to warrant detention and legal errors in the court’s decision,” the source said.

The 55-year-old founder of Bad Boy Records was arrested last month on charges of conspiracy to commit extortion, sex trafficking, prostitution and other crimes. He was later named in a 14-page indictment but pleaded not guilty and remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Prosecutors fear Diddy will intimidate witnesses and obstruct the case if released from prison. They also argue that the rapper is a flight risk because he is wealthy and has access to private jets.
Diddy had previously paid $50 million in bail, using his $48 million Miami mansion and his mother’s house as collateral. Diddy also told the judge he was willing to wear a GPS tracker, promised to limit his travel to Miami and New York, and announced that he would sell his private jet, which is parked in Los Angeles.
However, all of Diddy’s requests and pleas were denied.
