Keith Urban responds to the runway debut of his and Nicole Kidman’s ‘nepo baby’ daughter, Sunday Rose, following criticism of her catwalk walk.
Nicole Kidman‘s husband Keith Urban has given his critique of their daughter Sunday Rose’s recent runway debut.
The 16-year-old walked the runway as part of Miu Miu’s Paris Womenswear Spring-Summer 2025 show for Paris Fashion Week earlier this month.
Speaking to E! News, the country rocker, 56, was full of praise for his eldest’s inaugural catwalk turn, describing it as ‘very good’.
He added he hoped his daughter would capitalise on her burgeoning modelling career by ‘paying her dues’ with hard work.
‘At the end of the day anything that any of us choose to do involves an enormous amount of work,’ Keith said.
‘So go get in the trenches and start paying the dues as well.’
The teen was in good company for her modelling debut, sharing the catwalk with the likes of US actors Willem Dafoe and Hillary Swank, model Amelia Grey, UK rapper Little Simz and South Korean actress Nicha Yontararak, better known as Minnie.
Sunday Rose was also joined by fellow ‘nepo child’ Eliot Sumner, the offspring of UK rock icon Sting and wife Trudy Styler, who was also making a runway debut.

She looked all business, sporting a stoic expression as she confidently strode the catwalk.
She modelled a white sleeveless dress with a delicate ribbon embellishment from the Italian haute couture label.
She matched the dress with a pair of light grey leg-warmers and a pair of black, peep-toe heels.

Sunday Rose completed her runway look with a subtle, glossy pink lip and matching nails.
Her debut was deemed a resounding success by fashion bible Vogue, who declared: ‘So what does this mean for Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban? Come the fall 2025 collections in February, I’d wager we’re in for a month of Sundays.’
Sunday Rose’s famous mum Nicole Kidman was in attendance and the pair later stepped out together for the Miu Miu dinner party.
However, on TikTok, it was Sunday Rose’s serious stomp that quickly went viral, with commenters calling her out and suggesting she find another career path.
‘Try painting or acting instead. This is not for her,’ one suggested, as another commenter agreed, ‘Oh please why be a model so many other things to do.’
‘I can hear the heels slapping the floor,’ another person critiqued.
‘Stop hiring average looking nepo babies who can’t walk! We need the hungry unknown girls from developing countries who are naturally STUNNING,’ one fashion fan said, as someone else chimed in, ‘This is unfair to girls who don’t have famous parents. This girl is no model.’

‘She’s trying so hard to look fierce but just looks like a petulant child stomping their feet,’ one popular comment read as another person said, ‘Looking like she’s walking down to her WWE match.’
‘Who was her coach?’ one TikTok user questioned, with many people suggesting her A-list parent’s pay for modeling lessons.
Not everyone was so negative, with one person coming to her defense and writing, ‘She’s only 16 so don’t be too mean,’ although they added, ‘but nepotism is alive and well.’
‘Be kind to her she’s 16! Of course she’d agree!! Be angry at casting director,’ one defender announced.
Aside from Sunday, Keith and Nicole also share daughter Faith Margaret, 13.
